I really liked my stay at the Lake House and would recommend it.Rent a Lake House with a Boat Rent a lake house with a boat for an all-new summer family vacation idea Because summer is meant to be spent not just at the lake, but on itĪsk any avid boater and they'll tell you there are two kinds of people: those who love to boat and those who just don't know it yet. That was a great dinner to conclude a wonderful trip. The final night there, I came back to the Lake House around 6pm and Christine brought me French Onion Soup, a loaf of ciabatta bread, and lemonade. Usually the reservation doesn’t allow you to get in and book by 9pm, but Christine didn’t mind me getting back around 8 or 9 and would promptly have my room ready. The first night I got in she brought me lemonade, seltzer, ice, and regular water. She was prompt with service, friendly and attentive to my needs. The service was great, Christine the owner did a great job making my time in upstate New York wonderful. For being built in 1843, it has it’s good qualities, and not many flaws, the only one being was the stream of water for the shower wasn’t as I’d hoped, but it had clean warm water. I stayed at the Lake House over the past few days for a visit to Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary and the adjoining monastery, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The rooms here are higher priced than the Baseball Hotel, which supposedly offers breakfast.Definitely won't be back.… Just a greedy grab of $$ for a place that would get one star, except it was very clean! I think bare necessities are any necessary instructions, potable water, and coffee. There was not a coffee maker in the room, and we weren't told if there was any available anywhere. We weren't told whether the front door is locked at night, or even where to park. We weren't given a key, (it was hanging outside the room). If there was any breakfast, noone mentioned it to us. On full blast the shower was barely a trickle. There was no garbage can in the room anywhere. 2-12 oz bottles of water in a place where you clearly wouldn't drink the water-6$. So we go downstairs to ask for some water to drink. The water that came out of the faucet was brown. So if you're looking for clean place to lay your head, but if you want anything else forget it. As others have mentioned it was very clean. Recently spent a weekend at the Lakehouse in the Lodge. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel/ motel and I’ve traveled all over the world.… My 10 year old was crying because he was scared the man was going to hurt us. I told him I would just dispute the charge and he told me he always wins. I would imagine so- I can’t imagine anyone would be ok with sleeping in a dirty bed. He swore at me and told me he deals with people like me all the time. I came down and told him I needed a refund and I wasn’t staying there. The sheets had yellow stains- I was told it was the light making them appear stained. He asked one of the employees to show us room 6. When I came down and told the man we were not staying there as there was blood on the sheets and it was filthy- he told me there was no blood on the sheets and the tub was brand new. The tub was so dirty and stained I wouldn’t even wear shoes in there. The bed had a filthy thin quilt on it and there was BLOOD on the sheets when I lifted the pillow. But I’m not sure where the pictures came from on their website because it sure was not any of the rooms we saw. The room was tiny which was not an issue for us. Aside from the nasty attitude when we walked in- apparently we disturbed the guy “working” in the middle of his meal. I can’t imagine how this place is still in business. This “motel” was something out of a horror movie. Hotels near Richfield Springs Historic Association & Musuem.Pet Friendly Hotels in Richfield Springs.Last Minute Hotels in Richfield Springs.
